Isn’t Nudism Illegal In Malaysia?
Some may ask, “Isn’t nudism illegal in Malaysia?”
Public nudity is illegal. As nudists, we do not go nude in public.
Technically, it isn’t actually illegal to be nude in Malaysia. In the Laws of Malaysia there is no specific mention of nudism being illegal as well.
The Laws of Malaysia, Act 336 (Minor Offences Act of 1955) Clause 28e states it is an offence only for:
Exposure of person with intent
(e) every person wilfully, openly, lewdly and obscenely exposing his person with intent to insult any other person;
Therefore, being nude in Malaysia is only an offence if you purposely, openly, lewdly, obscenely, and intentionally display your genitals (or your nude state) to others with any intention to insult them.
As nudists, we do not intentionally expose ourselves (either openly, lewdly or obscenely) with any intention of insulting another person. In whatever we do, it is mostly a private affair whereby we take every effort to ensure that we do not offend members of the public or community in any such way as described above.
